2025 – visiting researchers in our program from TSL!
Overview
As part of our postgraduate program’s effort to strengthen international links and expose students to world-class plant science, we hosted two researchers from The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL, UK) — Mark Youles and Liam Edgar. The visit featured two research seminars (8-10/10/2025), informal lab meetings, and discussions with students, postdocs, and faculty members from the Department of Biology and IMBB-FORTH.
The visit was characterized by lively discussions, open exchange of ideas, and strong enthusiasm from both sides. The visitors toured our laboratory facilities, met with the directors of the Department of Biology and IMBB-FORTH, and explored possibilities for future collaboration. Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the exposure to TSL’s research culture and standards.
